Getting to host a panel and meet with readers at Bouchercon 2009 was a highlight of the year.

       January 3rd, 2012 was the debut of the second book in the Sheriff Cotton Burke series from Berkley. “Cotton’s Law” ups the ante in bringing more gunmen to Apache Springs than any one sheriff should ever have to face. With the help of his deputy, Memphis Jack Stump, Cotton meets the challenge head-on, with the result being lots of bad men realizing their mistake in coming to town in the first place, regardless of the large sums of money promised them if they eliminate the sheriff.
